Abby Kerbo is the owner of Owasso Dance Co. Abby started dancing at the age of three at Carey Robbins School of Dance in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Abby found her passion at an early age and continued taking ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and pom throughout high school. She competed at numerous competitions, winning at state and national levels. Abby graduated from Glenpool High School in 2013. Abby continued her passion as a member of the 2013-14 Tulsa 66ers dance team, affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Abby met Keally Lilly through the Tulsa 66ers. In 2014, Abby started teaching at South Tulsa Dance Co and Owasso Dance Co under the supervision of Keally. In 2016, Abby purchased Owasso Dance Co. and is so excited for the opportunity. Abby resides in Bixby with Tyler and their daughter Macy.

Brenna Tayman started dancing at the age of three years old and spent most of her dance career at Rhythmic Notions Dance Studio in Owasso, Oklahoma. She found her admiration and passion for dance at a young age and continued to train under many brilliant teachers in multiple genres of dance that included tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and musical theater. She joined the competition team at the age of six and has traveled to many different competitions winning multiple awards over the years. Brenna started assisting dance classes at the age of eleven and that is where she found her love for teaching and acquired the goal to become a teacher one day. Brenna’s first year of teaching was her senior year of high school at the age of seventeen. She also spent her last three years of high school on the Owasso Varsity Pom team where she served as a co-captain her senior year. Brenna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Management in May 2020 after acquiring her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Tulsa Community College in December of 2018. She is so happy that she is able to continue doing something she loves and gets to share her knowledge of the art of dance to eager students. Brenna loves that she gets the opportunity to create such special bonds with her students and how she gets to watch them grow not only in dance but also in life. She couldn’t be more grateful that the love of dance has turned into the love of teaching.

Brooke Long found her passion for dance at the age of 2 1/2 and pursued her passion throughout high school doing various styles of dance and several competition teams. Brooke spent most of her dance career at Carey Robbins School of Dance in Glenpool, Oklahoma where she had the opportunity to train under many incredible teachers. Brooke was also a member of the 2013-2014 Tulsa 66ers NBA dance team as they spent their last year in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brooke is a full time cosmetologist at Metric Hair Studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In her free time she likes to spend time with her husband Jeff, stepson Mason, and sons Korbyn and Westyn.

Elizabeth Szymanski is from the vibrant city of Colorado Springs. She fell in love with the art of dance 12 years ago and has continued to pursue her dreams ever since. She recently received a Bachelor of the Arts in Dance Performance from Oral Roberts University. Throughout her years of dancing, Elizabeth has had the honor of performing intricate roles in various events. She was a performer and dance captain in the Thorn Productions, a guest artist in the Soilsigh Event held in Ireland, and led street evangelism outreaches through dance in the beautiful and rural countries of Italy and Uganda. Elizabeth has also trained under and performed with, Zion Dance Project, Randall Flinn, Patty Hoffman, Aaron SmallWood, Christina Schneider, Rachel Bruce Johnson, Robbee Stafford, Ms. Allison Pringle, Roman Jasinski Jr., and Ms. Hope Ely. As a dance instructor, Elizabeth loves teaching her students about the arts and encouraging them to dive deeper on their own "why" for dancing. She loves exploring new cities and countries, trying out authentic coffee shops, and hiking up 14ners. Elizabeth would love to travel around the world doing missionary work through the art of dance.

Erin Larsen began dancing at the age of three years old, and has been a dance instructor since the age of sixteen. While a dance student, she studied ballet, pointe, jazz, pom, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre. Although she enjoys all styles of dance, Erin fell in love with ballet at a young age. She has been classically trained in the Vaganova ballet method. While in high school, Erin auditioned and performed with the renowned Moscow Ballet Company while the company was on tour in Tulsa, OK. Erin was a local titleholder for the Miss Oklahoma Organization for 3 years, which allowed her to showcase her love for pointe dancing in the talent competition. Erin won the talent competition at various local pageants. Erin graduated from The University of Tulsa with her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2020. While a student at TU, she was a four-year member of The University of Tulsa pom squad, where she was part of the travel team. Aside from teaching dance throughout college, Erin developed and taught free elementary arts education programs. Erin currently works as a speech-language pathologist for Union Public Schools and Post Acute Medical in Tulsa, OK. Erin is thrilled to be teaching at Owasso Dance Co.

Gwen Tayman started dancing at the age of 3 at Rhythmic Notions Dance Studio and then transitioned to dancing at Owasso Dance Company in Owasso, Oklahoma. She found her passion for dance at a young age and continued to train in multiple styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop, jazz funk, and lyrical. At the age of 6, she started dancing competitively and earned many awards over the years. She also started assisting and subbing many different styles and ages at a young age and found the passion of teaching dance. She spent her years during high school being on the Owasso Varsity Pom squad which she also learned the styles of pom and kick, along with earning the title of Regional and National Kick Champions. At the beginning of 2020 she became a member of Abstrakt Mindz, a local hip hop company. She also became a student coach for the 7th grade Future Owasso Ram Pom squad. In addition, she has choreographed for multiple local pom teams. In 2022, Gwen graduated from Owasso High School and is continuing her education at the University of Tulsa studying Exercise and Sports Science and minoring in French and Psychology. Gwen is looking forward to expanding her dance career as a teacher and to watch her dancers grow in class and in life.

Heather Ralston has danced since the age of 3. She studied ballet, pointe, modern, lyrical, tap, jazz, and pom. Ballet has always remained her passion. She enjoys teaching students how to use their technique from ballet to make them stronger dancers in all disciplines. Heather has danced in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Wizard of Oz, and The Little Mermaid. In high school she was accepted into Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute for Modern Dance. She also participated in the University of Oklahoma’s Kaleidoscope summer dance program for ballet, modern, and jazz. Heather taught advance senior ballet classes while attending Oklahoma State University. She enjoys sharing her passion with younger dancers and looks forward to great year.

Leah Provance graduated from ORU earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance. She has danced for 20 years and is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and musical theatre. She has had the privilege to teach all ages for several years at many studios around the Tulsa area. Leah’s favorite part about teaching dance is instilling life lessons in her students and always encouraging them to be the best they can be (Philippians 4:13) and always reminding them that they are loved (John 3:16). Leah lives with her husband Jake and on their downtime they have a blast binge watching some fun tv show and ordering in some pizza. Celebrating the little things is her favorite!

Rachel Roberts is a dance instructor and national award winning choreographer of over 20 years. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada and now residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma she has been involved with all aspects of the performing arts since the age of three. She has studied all forms of dance, musical theatre, acting and voice and has trained under Tara Foy, Ralph Perkins, Henry LeTang, Ernesta Corvino, Inez Mourning, Kathy Humphries, Heidi Hopper, Doug Caldwell, Jo Rowan, Jason Young, Louis Garcia and Francis Ruivivar, just to name a few. Graduating with honors from the prestigious Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, Rachel has toured Nevada, California and China with Dream Tour USA and performed in many dance concerts and musicals. Rachel attended Oklahoma City University where she was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company and the OCU Liturgical Dance Troupe. In 2002, she received a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business and was named outstanding graduating senior. Some her favorite regional credits include Kristine in “A Chorus Line”, Mitzi in “Crazy for You”, and Odette/ Odile in “Swan Lake”. Commercial credits include featured dancer in Osage Casino and choreographer for Miss Jackson’s Department Store. She has also choreographed many title winning solos for contestants in the Miss America Organization. Currently, Rachel focuses on private dance instruction and choreography in the Tulsa area, judging regional and national dance competitions and teaching master classes across the Midwest. She is also involved in coaching her daughter’s pom team and is a certified USA Cheer/ Dance instructor. Sharing her love of the arts and encouraging the next generation of dancers is one of her passions and she is honored to be a small part of their journey.

Shelbi started dancing at the age of 2 and continued doing so until she graduated high school. She was trained in many styles of dance including: ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, and Pom. Shelbi also danced competitively for 5 years where she performed as both a team member and a soloist. Shelbi spent most of her dance studio years dancing with Miss Abby and Miss Brooke at Carey Robbins School of Dance in Glenpool, OK.
After graduating from high school, Shelbi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK; a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS; and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Rasmussen College in Topeka, KS.
Shelbi works full-time as a Registered Nurse on the Oncology/Hospice floor at Saint Francis Hospital, but always looks forward to teaching her dance classes each week! In her free time, Shelbi likes to spend time with her boyfriend, Logan, and their dog, Beanie. She also loves to plan get-togethers with friends and family, go on the occasional shopping spree, and enjoy the outdoors.
